Daily Herald: "Student Fashion Show Raises $18,000 for Veterans"

Recently, students from The Illinois Institute of Art – Schaumburg produced "Prism," a fashion show with a military twist. During the showing of the final collection, models were escorted down the runway by Marines from the Great Lakes Naval Base.With more than 1,000 attendees at the show and 700 at the evening gala, the event yielded more than $18,000. The students chose to donate 100-percent of the proceeds to Salute Inc., an organization that provides emergency assistance to returning veterans. Out of the past four fashion shows, this has been the highest grossing one yet.
