The Art Institute of Seattle recently attended Emerald City Comic Con as an exhibitor, with the talent of our students on full display. Emerald City Comic Con is the largest Comic Convention in the Pacific Northwest, lasting four days, with over 20,000 attendees per day.

The Ai Seattle booth featured live demos from nine student artists in our Media Arts & AnimationGame Art & DesignGraphic & Web Design, and Industrial Design programs. Our students were able to showcase their skills all weekend, as attendees stopped by to ask them questions and watch them work on their portfolio pieces in a live environment. Many students brought business cards, and the event was a fantastic opportunity for them to network and discuss their interests and aspirations with industry professionals and other members of the creative community.

Ai ECCC art boards

A gallery presenting a wide variety of student artwork also lined the booth. Each artboard was printed with a student’s name, major, and links to their professional portfolio site or social media. In addition, the Ai Seattle Culinary Department supplied a decorative chocolate center for the booth.

Want to see it for yourself? Check out pictures from the booth and videos of our live demos on Ai Seattle’s Instagram Day 1Day 2, and Day 3 and Facebook (Day 2 and Day 3)!
