By: Sam King

August 3, 2017

Featuring work from students, faculty, and alumni, Comic Relief: The Past, Present & Future of Comics at The Art Institute of Seattle is on display now through the end of summer quarter.

"Comic Relief showcases a range of artwork from within The Art Institute of Seattle community. Presenting pieces from current students, alumni, faculty, and connected artists, this show investigates the diversity of Comic Art and its evolution on campus. From concepts of superheroes to illustrated personal narratives, Comics allow the presentation of ideas through a unique blend of visual art and literature. Creating a bridge between what would be considered disparate mediums, these artworks invite a wide audience to take part in stories that they may not have otherwise experienced."
