The Art Institute of Seattle Digital Photography and Filmmaking instructor Ben Kerns was featured this May in an interview by The American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP).


In the interview, Ben explores the joys of living his passion as a freelance photographer, the benefits of having business knowledge as a creative professional, and a bit of the valuable wisdom he shares with his students at Ai Seattle. 


Founded in 1944, ASMP is a premier trade association for photographers from around the world, with nearly 7,000 members and 39 chapters. In addition to producing industry publications and connecting clients with photographers, ASMP strives to support and advance photographers’ rights and educate photography professionals on business best practices.
