The Art Institute of Seattle’s Culinary Chair, Chef David Wynne, was recently featured on Seattle Refined, a KOMO News lifestyle magazine show. A film crew from KOMO News spent the day following Chef Wynne as he prepared his Culinary class for dinner service in Ai Seattle’s student-run Portfolio Restaurant.

The resulting video and article offer a behind-the-scenes look at how Chef Wynne runs the Portfolio Restaurant and ensures that his students are refining their skills and successfully delivering delicious and visually appealing dishes to restaurant attendees. Throughout the feature, Chef Wynne’s passion for food and for teaching are clear. Also on display is his knowledge, his emphasis on precision, and the way in which he constantly pushes his students to achieve their very best.

Find the full article and video segment, “A Local Chef's Appetite for Teaching the Next Generation,” on the KOMO News site.
