About The St. Louis Region

Saint Charles, home to The Art Institute of St. Louis, is rich in history and culture, welcoming new residents and visitors to its river shore. Saint Charles is located approximately 30 minutes from St. Louis' amenities.

The St. Louis metropolitan area is home to nearly three million people. Known for its jazz and blues music, the city is also home to the St. Louis Symphony, the country's second-oldest symphony.

History of St Louis

The Art Institute of St. Louis is located in historic Saint Charles, just a 25-minute drive to downtown St. Louis. The school provides creative educations in the areas of design, media arts, culinary, and fashion.

Educate and prepare students for creative careers

The Art Institute of St. Louis is home to industry-related equipment and software that provides students with real-world experience. These include:

The library's collection consists of multiple format resources and services to meet the needs of all students, faculty, staff ,and alumni.

Many students choose to live in school-sponsored housing located close to The Art Institute of St. Louis. Students who live in school-sponsored housing are invited to participate in special activities during the school year.

To build relationships and gain experience in their areas of study, many students participate in special events and workshops, join student groups, and work in internships within the St. Louis area.
