Fashion Marketing & Management Students Work Tampa Woman’s Club Show
May 2, 2016
A select group of Fashion Marketing & Management (BA) students from The Art Institute of Tampa, a branch of Miami International University of Art & Design, recently worked at the GWFC (General Federation of Woman’s Clubs) Tampa Woman’s Club Fashion Show. The event took place at the Renaissance Vinoy International Plaza in Tampa and featured local news anchors and government officials as models.
Before the event date, the students spent their free time helping to select, style, and pull merchandise—as well as worked on fitting celebrity models and coordinating the line-up.
All students are working toward a Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Marketing & Management. Students Jennifer Maldonado and Aaliyah Norman collaborated as stage managers to ensure that the dressers were on top of changes and the models were in order. Paige Tendler and Tania’ja Terry both supervised the juniorettes from the Woman’s Club, who were volunteering as dressers.
Recent graduate Katherine Lethers, who earned a Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Marketing & Management in 2016, was assigned to work with the male models.
