Students and Grads Win at 2016 Tampa Bay ADDY Awards

On February 18, 2016, students and graduates from The Art Institute of Tampa, a branch of Miami International University of Art & Design, gathered at the 2016 Tampa Bay American Advertising Awards (ADDYs) Gala to celebrate their work—and to take home hard-earned awards.

This year, they won 7 Silver and 3 Gold ADDYs including the “Student Best of Show” award. The Best of Show award included a check for $1,000 from the Gasparilla Interactive Festival committee.

The winning students now move on to compete at the district level, which includes the State of Florida and the Caribbean. The district level gala will be held in Tampa Bay on the evening of April 30, 2016.

Christian Cortes, working toward a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Digital Photography

Luis Fuentes, working toward a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design
