(VANCOUVER, BC December 2015) - The Art Institute of Vancouver teamed up with Templeton Secondary School and local Boy Scouts to make the holidays a little warmer for the homeless in Eastside Vancouver with “Warming up the Eastside” - a mittens, socks and toques drive. On Friday, December 11, students, faculty and staff volunteered their time to decorate and package 250 gift bags, which were distributed on Saturday, December 12. The drive was an initiative of Help Change My City, a community of young professionals that focuses on finding new ways to give back to their communities.
