Grads from The Art Institute of Vancouver Work on Star Wars: The Force Awakens

(VANCOUVER, BC December 2015) – Nine graduates from The Art Institute of Vancouver worked on one of the year’s most anticipated blockbusters, Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The film opened on Thursday, December 17. Below is a list of graduates and the roles they played in making the film.

  • Matt Anderson (2011 Graduate with a Diploma in 3D Modeling for Animation & Games): CG Generalist, Star Wars: The Force Awakens
  • Dan Brittain (1998 Graduate with a Diploma in CG Animation): Compositor, Star Wars: The Force Awakens
  • Dane Larocque (2013 Graduate with a Diploma in 3D Modeling for Animation & Games): Junior Compositor, Star Wars: The Force Awakens
  • Stu MacRae (2002 Graduate with a Diploma in Digital Effects): Animator, Star Wars: The Force Awakens
  • Olessya (Alexa) Zalipyatskikh (2012 Graduate with a Diploma in 3D Modeling for Animation & Games): Associate Software Engineer, Star Wars: The Force Awakens
  • Celia Jepson (2003 Graduate with a Certificate in Visual Effects and Digital Animation Master): Senior Lighting Technical Director on Star Wars: The Force Awakens
  • Sal Malik (2005 Graduate with a Diploma in Game Art & Design): Lighting Technical Director on Star Wars: The Force Awakens
  • Michael Ranalletta (2004 Graduate, with a Diploma in Visual Effects and Digital Animation Master): Digital Compositor on Star Wars: The Force Awakens
  • Dan Schick (2003 Graduate with a Certificate in Visual Effects and Digital Animation Master): Digital Compositor on Star Wars: The Force Awakens
