A speech was given by David Sorrells, Associate Dean, Academic Affairs. Sorrells said to students, “You did it. You’re graduating from college. You have worked endlessly, studied profusely, slept barely, and thought boldly. All of that is done now, and you are putting The Art Institute of Virginia Beach behind you, as a done deal, an accomplishment. But it’s not the end, not the crowning accomplishment of your life. What feels like the end is often a beginning. This, this day, this moment is the beginning of anything you want. This is the part where you find out who you are.”
