As the lines between graphic design and web design become less defined, employers are starting to look for both graphic designers with interactive skills and web developers with solid design skills. If you’re considering either direction, the BFA in Graphic & Web Design degree program at The Art Institute of Virginia Beach, a branch of The Art Institute of Atlanta, is the place to start.
You’ll start the degree program in Virginia Beach by studying the basics of visual communication: color, composition, illustration, and image manipulation. You will move on to solving specific graphic and web design challenges using industry techniques, software, and technology. You’ll choose either a Graphic Design or Web Design concentration as you begin to work toward a future where you can do what you love.
Our faculty* know what it takes to succeed. Throughout your graphic design classes and web design classes, they’ll offer one-on-one mentorship and feedback, pushing you to be bold, to experiment, and to explore new ideas and ways of thinking. Your instructors will guide you in improving your concept development and creative thinking skills, while immersing yourself in the creative community that Virginia Beach and the surrounding communities have to offer.
